Lady Cat claims second in 400-meter sprint in 2025 OHSAA state track and field meet

The 400-meter dash is perhaps one of the most grueling in all of track and field events.

At least North Union sophomore Gabby Lindsey feels that way.

“The 400 isn’t my favorite event… the 200 is,” she said.

It’s very ironic then that Lindsey did not advance out of Friday’s state semifinals in her favorite event. She placed 12th on that day at The Ohio State University’s Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.

It might be even more ironic that she finished as the Division II girls state runner-way in possibly her least favorite track and field endeavor.

Lindsey qualified for the finals of the 400-meter dash with a sixth-place finish (56.50) during the prelims….
