“Soapy” Showalter’s Hooked on Fishing Derby, Saturday, June 7, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Richwood Lake Park, ages 3 – 15 years.

Summerfest and Pickleball Tournament, Saturday, Aug. 9, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., tickets available online – $12.51 per person. All proceeds benefit the Richwood Civic Center. As part of the first Summerfest event, officials are planning to have a 5K; pancake breakfast; nature walk/scavenger hunt; games, train rides, and face painting for the kids; dunk tank featuring Richwood celebs; pickleball tournament; adult softball tournament; cornhole tournament; bake sale; 50-50 drawings; great music from noon to 10:30 p.m.; and of course, good food and cold beer!
