Thursday, June 4, 1925

Richwood paid tribute Memorial Day to the 166 soldiers whose final resting place is in Claiborne cemetery. A large number attended the services. Rev. C.H. Cosby delivered the address at the cemetery Saturday morning. His address was followed by a program of music and talks. The sons of Veterans quartet sang, Mrs. Nettie Sieg gave a reading and Rev. D.E. Lindsay made an interesting talk. Flowers were placed on the graves by a number of school children. Among the throng who attended the services were only eleven of the veterans of the Civil war.
