Sheriff’s Report

From Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:

Pedro Nicolas, 28, of Kenton, was cited for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license following a property damage crash. At 5:28 a.m., May 11, Nicolas was driving a 2010 Suzuki Kizashi southeast on Route 31 when he struck a deer.

Deputies investigated a custody dispute at a home in the 31000 block of Route 31 at 11:57 a.m., May 13. No report was taken.

At 12:54 p.m., May 13, deputies went to the Richwood Police Station to take possession of a wallet that was turned into Richwood police. The wallet was returned to the owner and no report was taken.

Jonas W. West, 48, of Richwood, was taken into custody for an outstanding arrest warrant after a deputy met with a Columbus police officer at 4:51 p.m., May 13. West was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.

A Richwood police officer and deputies were dispatched to a home in the 12000 block of Route 47 at 11:49 p.m., May 13, for a report of an attempted burglary. No report was taken.

Sara J. Thomas, 31, of Marysville, was cited for failure to control following an injury crash. At 4:07 p.m., May 14, Thomas was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse at the intersection of Wheeler Green Road and Raymond Road and went off the road to the ditch line, struck a pole, went up hill and came to rest in the yard of a residence. Deputies and units from the Northwestern Fire District, Northern Union County Joint Fire and EMS District and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the scene and a crash report was taken.

A deputy was sent to a home in the 34000 of Route 37 at 4:49 p.m., May 14, to help settle a dispute between the resident and a business. No report was taken.

Units from the Northern Union County Joint Fire and EMS assisted deputies at a home in the 30000 block of Alder Road at 8:21 p.m., May 14, for a person experiencing a mental health crisis. No report was taken.

A deputy assisted a Richwood police officer at 12:06 p.m., May 16, with a dispute that occurred on Graham Street in the village. The Richwood Police handled the investigation.

A deputy was sent to a residence on Main Street in Magnetic Springs at 7:25 p.m., May 16, to investigate the possible theft of clothing and jewelry. No report was taken.

A deputy was dispatched to Magnetic Springs in the area of South Main Street and Park Street at 6:15 p.m., May 17, to investigate a juvenile complaint. No report taken.

A deputy assisted the Richwood police with a domestic dispute between a girlfriend and boyfriend at a residence on East Bomford Street at 6:20 p.m., May 18.

From Marysville Division of Police reports:

Krista N. Reck, 43, of Richwood, was arrested at 180 Coleman’s Crossing Blvd., May 13, at 5:32 p.m., on a crime in progress arrest for FRA/non compliance suspension. Reck was issued a summons for driving under suspension.

Brittany Duffy, 39, of 118 W. Ottawa St., Richwood, was arrested on Fourth Street and Main Street at 1:09 a.m., May 19, for a crime in progress arrest for driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
