NU girls track team takes home first CBC Mad River title

North Union’s track and field teams competed in the Central Buckeye Conference Championship meet last week.

The girls program made school history with their biggest accomplishment coming in the form of a CBC Mad River title. The Lady Cats topped the podium scoring 120 team points.

The boys program took fourth in the Mad River division scoring 87 points.

The championship meet was held in a two-day span at Kenton Ridge with some competitions holding finals last Tuesday.

The Lady Cats’ 4×800-meter relay crew took first in the finals with a time of 10:21.52. Competing for the tandem were Savannah Amstutz, Lauren Hall, Morgan Mask and Kennedy Ludwig.
