North Union track teams finish second place during Elgin Relays

North Union was among the six track teams that competed Friday in the Elgin Relays.

Northmor won the team title in both the boys and girls meets while North Union finished second in both meets.

The Lady Cats set a pair of meet records. The 4×200 team of Rylan Riffle, Glory Blevins, Stella Hancock and Gabby Lindsey posted a winning time of 1:50.20 while Riffle, Hancock and Lindsey teamed with Reeslyn Riffle to win the sprint medley with a time of 1:51.61.

Other first-place finishes included the 4×1600 relay with Savannah Amstutz, Lauren Hall, Kennedy Ludwig and Morgan Mask (no time available), long jump relay of Lindsey, Blevins and Rylee Horne, the discus relay of Josie Ufferman, Andi McElroy and Montana…
