Grand jury indictments – Area man charged with trafficking meth

A Marysville man is facing as many as 16 years in prison for charges of possession and trafficking of up to 150 grams of methamphetamine.

The Union County Grand Jury is indicting Jeffery Alan Altizer, 46, of 14872 Watkins Road, and charging him with one count each of aggravated trafficking in drugs and aggravated possession of drugs, which are felony charges of the second degree that carry a max of eight years in prison each.

According to court documents, on Aug. 7, 2022, Altizer transported or prepared methamphetamine for shipment intended to be sold that “exceeds five times the bulk amount but is less than fifty times the bulk amount.” The bulk amount for meth is three grams, with five times that amount equal to 15 gra…
