North Union boys and girls track squads place second in annual Virg Rankin Invite

The North Union track team put together some strong performances last Thursday in the Virg Rankin Track Invitational.

As a result, North Union finished second in both the girls and boys meets, finishing each meet behind Jonathan Alder.

Alder won the boys meet with 136.2 points while North Union finished second with 120.2 points.

The Lady Pioneers totaled 174 points and the Lady Cats earned 139 points to finish second.

The battle in the Virg Rankin between the two schools may be a prelude to next month’s Central Buckeye Conference championships.
