Lady Cats pick up pair of CBC triumphs

North Union’s softball program collected two conference wins last week.

Lady Cats defeat Urbana

North Union picked up its first Central Buckeye Conference victory of the season on Friday as the Lady Cats defeated Urbana 8-1 at Urbana.

A four-run sixth inning put the game away for North Union (7-8 overall, 1-6 CBC).

Kailin McElroy, Kale Keigley, Sierra Farrington and Kennedy Harrah each had two hits for the Lady Cats. Leah Cox, Brenna Martino and Catherine Hinkile each had one.

Lady Cats defeat Graham

North Union scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to earn a come-from-behind 6-3 victory over Graham in Central Buckeye Conference softball play at North Union last Monday.

Graham scored three runs in the top of the inning to take a 3-2 lead.

Cox had three hits, including a pair of doubles to lead the Lady Cats (8-8 overall, 2-6 CBC) and Harrah had a triple and single, McElroy had two singles while Keigley, and Hazlee Hall each singled.
