Lady Cats bounce back from season opening loss with wins

The North Union softball team bounced back from an opening season loss by winning its next four games during last week’s action.

The Lady Cats lost to Riverside in their opener but picked up wins over Bishop Ready, Bexley and Elgin and they are now 4-1 on the season.

Things did not start out well for North Union as it trailed 3-0 after one inning of play against Bishop Ready.

However, the second inning was more to their liking as they sent 13 batters to the plate and scored eight runs.

Key hits in the inning were a two-run triple by Kennedy Harrah, a tworun single by Kale Keigley.

Brenna Martino and Hazle Hall each had a run-scoring singles in the inning.
