Man gets 25 years for rape of young family members
“He is too dangerous and depraved.”
A statement from the court describing Garry Lee Giles, 82, of West Mansfield, following his sentence of 25 years in prison last week after being found guilty of raping two young family members.
During his open court plea hearing on Jan. 21, 2025, Giles pleaded guilty to five counts of gross sexual imposition, each a felony of the third degree and carrying a sentence of five years.
In the sentencing hearing on March 14, Judge Don Fraser imposed a sentence of 25 years in prison.
