Kindergarten Readiness Kits

 

Above, North Union’s Board of Education got their first look at Kindergarten Readiness Kits that aim to to provide materials for kindergarteners and their parents. Inside of the kits are activity cards for literacy, math, writing and social skills development with a dry erase marker, flash cards for letters and numbers and community information cards. NU is partnering with Fairbanks and Marysville schools and sponsors Memorial Health, Union County Health Department, Richwood Bank and Impact 60 on the readiness kits. Early data from Marysville shows that 81% of students were identified as showing on-track readiness literacy skills after being exposed to the kits.
