Lady Cats stymie Mechanicsburg in non-league matchup, 41-24

The beginning of last Monday’s girls basketball game against Mechanicsburg could not have started any worse for North Union on its home court.

After the initial big opening by the visitors, it was all Lady Cats the rest of the way, Trailing 10-0 after just three-and-half minutes of play, North Union dominated the game and finished with a 41-24 non-league victory.

North Union junior Kennedy Harrah was not worried because of confidence in how the Lady Cats would respond.

“I wasn’t worried,” Harrah said. “We knew they could go on a run, but we could also go on a run.”
