Winter Park Rules
Village Administrator Monte Asher reminds area residents that sledding, ice fishing and ice skating are not permitted on Richwood Lake. With the cold temperatures central Ohio has been experiencing, it is enticing to take advantage of the fun winter activities. But safety of the residents and first responders is a high priority. The Canada geese have been living on the lake, causing the water to flow and not freeze. Village officials remind those who visit the park to take extra precaution and remember, “safety first.”

Asher also states that snowmobiles are not permitted in Richwood Park or on the lake. Open water on the lake is an indication that it is not safe for traveling on. Police officers will continue to tr…
