Writing origins and the pneumonia incident

 

Editor’s note: The following introduces reporter Kyle Meddles.

Hello Gazette readers, my name is Kyle Meddles. I know I cropped up in the paper about seven months ago and have yet to introduce myself, so here we go. I grew up in Marysville and have lived there my whole life. I attended Fairbanks Local Schools and graduated in 2019. After that, I went to college at The Ohio State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. I drifted in a state of limbo for around a year, writing short-stories, doing odd-jobs like DoorDash and getting roped into a cruddy sales gig that I despised, until I saw an ad in the paper for a position at the Richwood Gazette and Marysville Journal- Tribune.
