Area News – Fairbanks treasurer receives state auditor’s award

Fairbanks Treasurer Aaron Johnson received the Auditor of State Award.

Johnson was notified recently by state officials that the district’s financial services office was given the award.

“We were humbled and grateful that Ohio’s Auditor of the State, Keith Faber shared this news with Aaron,” said Superintendent Adham Schirg in a release. “It was a fantastic moment recognizing very important people and very important work across Fairbanks Local Schools. To put this in perspective, about 10% of school districts receive this award annually. Our district’s financial services office has received it five out of the last six years.”
