Fun and learning with the Book Bus

Kids showed up for the Bess the Book Bus event Friday at North Union Elementary School. Sponsored by Acciona Energia, the bus is a mobile literacy outreach “dedicated to narrowing the academic achievement gap.” Event organizers saw 625 kids show up for the read-aloud, the second time the event has taken place. The event was Acciona’s fourth visit across the United States, stopping twice in Texas and once in Illinois, totaling out to over 1000 kids. (Photos submitted)
