The name of the month of April comes from the Latin word “aperire,” which means “to open.” This seems very appropriate since this is the month when we welcome the warmth of the long-awaited summer with open arms. I am looking forward to the warmer days and of course time in the garden.

We are springing up around here at the Civic Center as well. For the month of April, we will still be offering our Geri Fit program every Monday at 10 a.m. and every Thursday at 9 a.m. This is a great program for seniors to build their strength and balance.
