February 21:

The Sophomore class gave a splendid literary program last Friday afternoon. The Delhies defeated the Athenaeums by a score of 42 to 36. The program consisted of piano solos, Martha Gillespie and Ruby Ledley; readings, James Harmon and Margaret Sanders, essays on etiquette, Clayton Boyd and Helen Cahill; vocal solos, Helen Snyder and Vera McCrary; jokes, Roth Peet and Ethyl Sparks; Debaters, Kenneth Kyle and Robert Seig, on the affirmative and Thomas Grimes and Robert Mather, on the negative. The question of the debate was, Resolved” That Lincoln was a greater man than Washington. The affirmative won. The program was well attended.
