Jack E. Dean

Jack E. Dean, 87, formerly of Prospect, died Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Mercy Health Fairfield Hospital in Cincinnati. He was born April 14, 1936 in Raymond to the late James Gilbert and Mildred (Collinson) Dean. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Lee Dean. On September 28, 1957 he married the former Patricia Bollack in Marysville and she survives.

He worked as an equipment operator for Union County Engineers. He was a gifted handyman and there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix (or at least try). He and Pat were avid birdwatchers who traveled the world to get glimpses of rare birds. He was the world’s greatest purveyor of “dad rhymes”, able to come up with a rhyme on the spot. M…
