UCHD plans free tire collection event

The Union County Health Department is hosting a free tire collection for county residents on Saturday, Oct. 24.

This year’s collection will be held at Bunsold Middle School, 14198 Route 4. This event is for the disposal of unwanted car, pickup truck and other small tires that have collected on residential properties.

Tires will begin being accepted at 9 a.m. and will be collected until the truck is either full or until 11 a.m., whichever comes first. Attendees should enter using the south entrance where they will be directed around the school to a drop site. There is limited space and tires will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
