Sources: Honda eyeing U.C. for new $2.5B plant

Honda officials said there has been no decision yet on whether or not a new $2.5-billion facility is coming to the area, but sources indicate the end result could be good news for the local economy.
After a media source in Japan reported plans for a new Honda plant in Ohio to build hybrid vehicles, the Journal-Tribune confirmed through multiple local sources that the company was, in fact, in discussions about locating a new plant in Union County.
The automaker would not confirm the information as of last week.
