North Union gridders drop Homecoming heartbreaker to Urbana Hillclimbers

North Union head football coach Nick Hajjar did not have a lot of words after las Friday night’s Homecoming game against Urbana.

“There are not a lot of words when you lose one like this,” Hajjar said.

The “like this” was Urbana scoring two touchdowns in the final two minutes to steal a 34-33 win over the Wildcats.

The winning score, a one-yard smash by Hillclimbers senior Grady Lantz, came with 27 seconds left in the game.

North Union, however, was able to give itself a chance to get the win in the final seconds.
