Police Beat
From Richwood Division of Police reports:
Aug. 23
An officer assisted with a civil standby at the police department at 7:04 p.m. during a custody exchange.
A caller reported people yelling in the 400 block of North Franklin Street at 11:30 p.m. and an officer responded. There were no signs of anyone yelling in the area.
A door to one of the concession stands at the Richwood Park was found open at 11:24 a.m. and an officer did not see anything out of the ordinary inside. A keyholder was notified.
Someone found a stray dog on Beatty Avenue and dropped it off at the police station at 4:26 p.m. An officer took the dog to the Union County Humane Society and the owner was later notified.
