Girls soccer team falls to Northridge

The start of North Union’s girls soccer season has been a little unsettling.

Through the first couple of the weeks rainy weather has not only kept games from being played, but has also made practicing on the difficult side.

“I think we have had only two full training sessions here in August,” head coach Bill Leroy said. “But you know the other teams are having the same weather.”

The Lady Cats played their second regular season match last Saturday as they hosted Johnstown Northridge.

A strong first half earned North Union a 2-1 lead at intermission, but the Lady Vikings scored four goals in the second half to post a 5-2 victory.
