North Union will open grid season at home against Pleasant on Friday

North Union head football coach Nick Hajjar is hoping that coming off an historical playoff run in 2025, the Wildcats will do something they have not done the past three seasons.
In each season the Wildcats have opened with Marion Pleasant and each time the Spartans finished with a victory.
Hajjar is looking for a much better outcome as North Union’s season opener this season is once again against Pleasant. It will be played Friday on the Wildcats’ home field.
The two schools were once each members of the Mid Ohio Athletic Conference and played each other during the regular season. North Union joined the Central Buckeye Conference in 2019, but since 2021 the Wildcats have scheduled the Spartans as their season opener.
