The fourteenth annual reunion of the Shirk family was held Sunday, August 8 at the Union County fairground, where a large number of relatives and friends gathered for another day of enjoyment. The forenoon was spent in visiting and at the noon hour a fine dinner was served cafeteria style. – – Mrs. Mary J. Phelps, of York, celebrated her 80th birthday Sunday. At the noon hour, a bountiful dinner was served. In the afternoon ice cream and watermelon were enjoyed by all. – – Mr. and Mrs. Don Cramer entertained the members of the Harmonious club at their home Monday evening in honor of their little daughter, Mary Jane’s birthday.
