Fairgrounds abuzz for new show arena

The Richard “Buzz” Sampson Livestock Pavilion is starting to take shape at the Richwood Independent Fairgrounds. Ground work is done on the 80×120-foot arena and construction of the roof has begun, as seen above. The pavilion was made possible through a $250,000 grant from the family of Sampson. Officials are aiming for the arena to be completed in time for this year’s Richwood Independent Fair.
