Richwood welcomes Relay for America runners

Richwood residents showcased their patriotism on the national stage as runners with Relay for America passed through the village last week.
A t around 6:30 p.m, June 30, runners bearing the American flag were greeted to a crowd of locals on Ottawa Street as the relay ran through the village on their way to the nation’s capital.
According to the group’s website, Relay for America is a self described “ragtag crew of believers” out to prove that Americans can still come together by running an American flag from San Francisco, California to Washington, D.C.
