Tolles receives $400,000 from state for regional Fire and EMS training facility

A planned regional fire and emergency medical services training center at Tolles Career and Technical Center received a major boost this week after securing $400,000 in Ohio’s 2026 capital budget.
The funding, signed into law Monday by Gov. Mike DeWine, will help support construction of the Fire & EMS Training Facility of Central Ohio, a four-story training structure designed to serve both Tolles students and first responders from approximately 20 fire and EMS agencies throughout Central Ohio.
Tolles officials said the facility will provide realistic, hands-on training opportunities that are currently limited in the region.
