Union County to Celebrate July 5th Here – Sesqui-centennial of our freedom to be commemorated at fairgrounds by various Sunday schools, fine program. Sponsored by the 56 associated Sunday schools of Union county, a patriotic celebration will be held at the Richwood fairgrounds beginning at ten o’clock, a.m. with a daylight display of fireworks, the program as arranged continues through the day and closes with a pyrotechnic display at night at 10 o’clock.

A meeting of the Flatwood 4-H Poultry club was held at the home of David Griffith. A demonstration of water fountain was given by David Griffith. The next meeting will be held at the home of the leader, Ralph Vestal. Lunch was served by Mrs. Griffith.
