It’s time for membership renewal! Please send your membership paper (which is the second-to-last page in our newsletter) and money to our office or stop in and give it directly to Janet.
The Richwood Farmers Market will be open every Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. starting on June 11 and going through Oct. 8 at Richwood Park Shelter House.
The Union County Fair Senior Day is scheduled for Monday, July 27. We will be co-hosting Bingo which begins at 10 a.m. Other fun plus lunch will follow. If you would like to ride the bus to the fair, please call Janet here at the office for more information and to save your seat.
Summerfest is Saturday, Aug. 8 and the fun begins early in the morning and goes all day. There will be something for everyone. We will be hosting our second annual Bingo Run that day at 9 a.m. with registration beginning at 8 a.m. at the Richwood Park Shelter House #1. Registration is $25 on the day of the race. If you register before Aug. 7, registration is only $20. You can earn extra bingo cards by bringing canned goods to be donated to REAP. Please make sure that your canned goods have not expired. There is a limit of two cans per person.
After Summerfest we have Senior/Veterans Day at the Richwood Independent Fair on Friday, Sept. 4. You will get a free lunch, and of course we also have Bingo following. The following day we will have our 17th annual Ruth Woods Fun Run starting at the fair. Please watch for more information or go online to register at runsignup.com and look for the Ruth Woods Fun Run.
Easy ways to support our activities and events are by buying a drink from Richwood Coffee. We receive 100% of the proceeds. On Saturday, July 18 go to enjoy dinner from Smokey Bears. We greatly appreciate your support and the support from these businesses.
Key Events and Activities
1. Trips: The second Canada trip will leave on Monday, Oct. 5 and go through Friday, Oct. 9, 2026. You will see some of the most famous attractions in Canada including taking a boat journey to Niagara Falls, a guided tour of Toronto, visit Casa Loma, Niagara on the Lake and Queen Victoria Park. The trip costs $800 for members and $825 for non-members. A $75 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your seat, and all money is due July 31.
2. Members Appreciation Picnic is Friday, June 26 at 5 p.m. to be held at the Richwood Civic Center. We expect to hold the event outside, however if it is raining or too hot we will move it indoors. This is a members only event. Please call Janet to RSVP by June 23.
3. Personal Needs Pantry will start taking orders on the 20th of this month. Please call Carola on 740-943-3095 to place your order to be picked up April 4.
4. REAP food pantry is open every Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. to noon. For those of you that can’t make one of the Friday mornings, please call Amber at 937-209-8823 to set up an appointment time for Monday or Wednesday afternoons.

• Weekly Exercise Classes – Every Monday at 10 a.m. and every Thursday at 9 a.m. This is a Senior-based exercise.
• Bingo every Monday and Wednesday at 1 p.m.
• Line dancing every Monday at 12:30 p.m.
• Bible study every Thursday at 10 a.m.
• Game Day every Tuesday at 1 p.m., this now includes Euchre
• Monthly Fellowship Dinner is on the second Tuesday of every month at 5 p.m. with a $5 charge, Book Club is the second Tuesday of every month at 10 a.m., Breakfast Club is on the fourth Wednesday at 10 a.m. and we have a monthly Mystery trip scheduled, please call the office for more information on the trip.
Registration for most events is available at the Richwood Civic Center in person at the front desk. Early sign-ups are encouraged for events with limited capacity.
