Pearl Street resident asks council to find flooding fix

Residents experience bad flooding after rainfall

Richwood residents are tired of dodging water after recent rainfall has caused flooding in areas of the village.

One resident who lives on Pearl Street, Zach Cox, told council during the regular meeting on Monday that his house gets it the worst.

“I have to run a pump across the road and pump the water out because I’m surrounded in water,” Cox said. “I have a lake around my house, I can’t even go out in my driveway.”

Village Administrator Eric Kincaid said that staff have fielded concerns from several residents of Pearl Street seeking solutions to the flooding in the area. He described this flooding area as being between Tawa Road to the south and Herbert Street to the north along Pearl Stree…
