Sheriff’s Report
From Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
At 11:05 p.m., May 24, a deputy spoke with a resident of East Magnetic Street in Magnetic Springs to investigate a dispute over contract work being done in the area. No report was taken.
On May 25 at 10:19 a.m., a deputy, along with units from the Northern Union County Joint Fire District, responded to the 27000 block of Route 37 for an automated crash alert from an iPhone. No crash was located, bu responding units did locate the phone lying alongside of the roadway. The phone was returned to the owner, and no report was taken.
Christopher E. Carrick, 43, of Prospect, was arrested on May 25 at 1:14 p.m. for an outstanding arrest warrant by a Union County deputy and a Marion County deputy. He was transported to the Marysville Police Department where he was released after posting bond.
On May 26 at 5:45 p.m., a deputy was sent to a residence on South Main Street in Magnetic Springs to investigate fraudulent activity on an account. A report was taken.
Deputies were sent to a residence in the 18000 block of Front Street in Broadway to investigate a stolen vehicle on May 26 at 7:10 p.m. After further investigation, the vehicle was recovered and a report was taken.
Christopher J. W. Cook, 30, of Richwood, was arrested May 27 at 9:19 a.m. for an outstanding arrest warrant on the 32000 block of Water Street in Essex, and was then transported to Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was sent to a residence in the 32000 block of Water Street in Essex for a domestic disturbance between a boyfriend and girlfriend on May 27 at 9:48 a.m. The parties were separated, and no report was taken.
Deputies assisted the Richwood Police with an assault that occurred on West Bomford Street in Richwood at 5:51 p.m., May 27. The Richwood Police handled the investigation.
At 12:22 a.m., May 28, a deputy assisted the Richwood Police Department with investigating a suicide threat on South Clinton Street. The Richwood police handled the investigation.
At 6:09 a.m., May 29, deputies and units from the Richwood Police Department and Northern Union County Fire & EMS District responded to a residence in the 11000 block of Route 47 for a person threatening self-harm. The subject was transported to Marion General Hospital, and no report was taken.
Deputies were sent to a residence on South Main Street in Magnetic Springs for a missing person on Sunday at 1:21 p.m. The person was located and returned to their family. No report was taken.
At 6:04 p.m., Sunday, a deputy assisted the Richwood Police Department with a dispute between neighbors on East Blagrove Street. The Richwood Police Department handled the investigation.
Tylar L. Kinley, 19, of Raymond, was arrested and charged with domestic violence and transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail after deputies responded to a residence in the 23000 block of Hoover Bault Road to investigate a domestic dispute on Sunday at 7:40 p.m. A report was taken.
From Marysville Division of Police reports:
Jonathan Michael Lee Howlett, 26, of Marion, was arrested May 24 at 7:54 a.m. for trafficking drugs and selling on a street at the 16300 block of Square Drive and U.S. 36. Police reported that they observed Howlett in the process of trafficking, and were able to recover three pieces of narcotic equipment.
Malachi Izzac Robbins, 21, of Magnetic, was arrested May 24 at 8:44 a.m. for drug abuse and driving while under the influence. Robbins arrest occurred when police responded to a parking lot on the 16400 block of Square Drive in Marysville at 3:54 a.m., Sunday. He was transported to Tri-County with no bond.
Alan Robert Rizer, 32, of Richwood, was arrested at 5:13 a.m., May 30, for two charges of driving under the influence. Rizer was taken to the police department for processing and was later released to a sober party.
