North Union athletes earn softball, baseball accolades for Central Buckeye Mad River Division

North Union sophomore Leah Cox was named the Mad River Division’s Player of the Year as the Central Buckeye Conference recently announced its all-league softball team.

Cox finished second in the CBC in pitching wins with 20, while striking out 195 in 154 innings pitched.

She also produced at the plate, hitting for a .386 average with 11 home runs and 38 runs batted in.

Senior shortstop Kennedy Harrah, senior outfielder Kale Keigley and junior catcher Kailin McElroy joined Cox on the Mad River first team.
