Four North Union Wildcat athletes set to compete in state meet for track and field

North Union will have a quartet of athletes reach the final week of the high school track season.

Gabby Lindsey, Griffin Osborne, Xavier Gruber and Jack Kemp will be among the participants this week in the state track meet, which will look different than it looked last year.

For decades the meet had three separate divisions but this year it has expanded to five divisions, requiring an extra two days of running, jumping and throwing. In addition to more divisions and more days of competition, the meet has a new name. The Ohio High School Athletic Association Jesse Owens Track and Field Championships will begin on Thursday and conclude on Sunday.
