Bledsoe’s complete game leads Wildcats baseball club past Bellefontaine Chieftans

It was the final Central Buckeye Conference of the season for North Union as it finished with a 3-13 league mark. The Wildcats are 5-18 overall.

In addition to the pitching of Bledsoe, Colwell had two big run-scoring hits. Colwell, a freshman, started the season on the junior varsity team and Wilcox said he earned a chance to join the varsity squad.

“Charlie had the highest batting average on the JV team and was doing a good job at shortstop,” Wilcox said.

Colwell had played in a few varsity games earlier in the season.

“Seeing varsity pitching did not seem to faze him,” Wilcox said.

“We brought him up our last two games and he has hit pretty well.” N…
