Wildcat baseball team drops games to Pleasant, Northwestern

One of the things that has plagued the North Union baseball team during the season has been the way it plays defense.

The past few games head coach Todd Wilcox felt the Wildcats were doing better with their fielding.

North Union (3-18) committed seven errors which played a big role in its 9-3 loss to Pleasant on the NU diamond.

“The last two weeks we had games with maybe one or two errors and games we didn’t make an error,” Wilcox said “Tonight we just weren’t locked in.”

Just one of the nine runs scored by the Spartans (5-10) was earned.

The first four innings were dominated by pitching as Pleasant’s Nehmiah Riddle and North Union’s Hayden Bright…
