Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony set for May 16

The Union County Sheriff’s Office and area law enforcement agencies will host the 2026 Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 16, on the north lawn of the Union County Courthouse.
The ceremony, expected to last about one hour, is open to the public. Organizers said the event is a time to reflect on the service and sacrifice of officers who have died in the line of duty.
The memorial is located on the courthouse lawn, directly in front of the Union County Sheriff’s Office. Dedicated May 19, 2005, it honors law enforcement officers in Union County who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
