Wildcat baseball team suffers setbacks in CBC contests
The North Union baseball team suffered four losses last week, all Central Buckeye Conference contests.
The Wildcats lost twice in a home-and-home series with Shawnee and one game each to Jonathan Alder and Newark Catholic.
In the opening game against Shawnee, North Union fell behind 6-0 after three innings. The Wildcats scored four runs in the fourth inning, three coming on a bases-loaded triple by Greyson Bledsoe. Bledsoe’s knock was the only hit for North Union in the game. The game was shortened to five innings because of rain, keeping the final score at 6-4.
