NU boys win quad track meet

North Union hosted Urbana, Buckeye Valley and Gilead Christian on Tuesday in quad track meet. The Wildcats won the boys meet, totaling 118 points. Urbana was second with 47 points followed by Buckeye Valley (37) and Gilead Christian (18). Buckeye Valley won the girls meet with 101 points. Urbana was second with 56 points, North Union was third at 47 and Gilead Christian finished with 24 points. Griffin Osborne and Zaim Habib each won two events for North Union. Osborne won the 100 (11.36 seconds) and long jump (20 feet, 6.5 inches) and Habib won both hurdle event, taking the 110 at 18.52 and 300 at 45.25. Other individual winners were Zach Meyer (400, 52.51), Ben Bonnell (800, 2:15.06), Broden O’Reilly (discus, 139-4) and Xavier Gruber (high jump, 6-0). Osborne, Jaxon Heminger, Kadrin Riffle and Wyatt Arver teamed to win the 4×100 at 45.01. Kailyn Colegrove picked up a win in the shot put (36-2.25) for the lone Lady Cat victory.
