Lady Cats drop contest to undefeated defending state champ Kenton Ridge

Kenton Ridge went undefeated in 2025 on its way to a Division IV state softball title.
Based on Friday’s Central Buckeye Conference game at North Union, the Cougars are showing all the signs that point to another state championship. Eight of the nine players that started the game against the Lady Cats were members of last year’s title- winning team.
From beginning to end Kenton Ridge was in control as it defeated the Lady Cats 24-5 to remain unbeaten (17-0). The game was shortened to five innings by the run rule. The Cougars, who are averaging 11 runs per game this season, won a pair of games on Saturday to extend their overall win streak the last two seasons to 49 game…
