Blighted properties on Milford Center’s CDBG wish list

Milford Center is hoping to get another bite at the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) apple this year as local officials look at preparing project submissions.

During a recent meeting of the Union County Commissioners, time was set aside to hear from communities interested in taking advantage of the annual funding opportunity. Though some projects are currently in play around the county, such as the continuing work on Franklin Street in Richwood, Milford Center was the only community this round that responded to the inquiry regarding potential priority projects.

The village was successful last year in securing CDBG funds for their storm sewer repairs …
