NU baseball squad suffers CBC Mad River Division setback after tough week

Indian Lake struck early and often in the opening innings and went on to defeat North Union 14-2 on Wednesday in Central Buckeye Conference baseball action at North Union.

The Lakers (5-4, 5-1) tallied four runs in the first inning and added five more markers in the second inning. Indian Lake sent nine batters to the plate in each of the first two innings. It had five walks during that time but was also helped by six walks and two errors.

“Our pitching early in the game was not where we wanted it to be,” North Union head coach Todd Wilcox said. “Give Indian Lake the credit for hitting the ball.”
