NU’s Luke Mask sets pair of records at the Benjamin Logan MS Invitational

North Union’s Luke Mask set a pair of meet records on Thursday as the Wildcats competed in the Benjamin Logan Middle School Invitational.

Mask took the top spot in the discus with a toss of 150 feet, 8 inches and in the shot put with a throw of 52-7. Joseph Wiley also claimed two first-place finishes. He won the 800 in the time of 2 minutes, 16.98 seconds and the 1600 at 5:04.19. North Union finished fourth overall in the boys meet with 65.5 points.

The Lady Cats finished ninth with 25 points. Their top indvidual placer was Aubrey Hartings with a third-place finish in the shot put at 31-3.25, The 4×800 team of Layla Wilds, Layney Wilds, Kaelyn Huff and Jordan Shinault finished third with a time of 12:12.95. The North Union…
