NU baseball club fall to Elgin following late rally

North Union was able to take the early lead but Elgin rallied for a 6-3 victory in baseball action on Thursday at Elgin. The Wildcats (1-2) scored three runs in the top of the third inning. The Comets tallied a pair of runs in the bottom half of the inning and then scored four runs in the fifth inning. Jace Phipps collected two singles for North Union while Alex Dexter and Peyton Davis each singled. Phipps, Austin McMahon and Greyson Bledsoe shared pitching duties with McMahon taking the loss.
