Leah Cox dominates in circle and at plate in Lady Cats’ win over Coffman

North Union sophomore Leah Cox had a pretty good end to her week of softball action.

It did not start out well as she was the losing pitcher in a pair of games earlier in the week. However, that all changed as Cox and her Lady Cat teammates posted wins on Friday and Saturday.

In a 13-0 Central Buckeye Conference win over Tecumseh on Friday, Cox pitched a five- inning, no-hitter and also hit a home run. The game ended after five innings as a result of the run rule. She followed that with a complete-game performance from the pitching circle on Saturday in a 7-2 home win over Dublin Coffman.

Oh, by the way, Cox cranked two home runs and drove in four runs against the Rocks.
