UCSO sees growing employment interest

Law enforcement staffing concerns seem to be going in a different direction than they were just a few short years ago.

Union County Sheriff Mike Justice told the county commissioners on March 11 that he has had several interviews for open positions in the last week or so.

“Between last Thursday and Friday and (Tuesday), we interviewed 13 people for deputies’ positions and there was three recommendations of l a t erals or certified officers and one cadet position,” he said.
