NU hoopsters conclude regular season campaign, shift focus to postseason action beginning Saturday

North Union and Pleasant needed extra time to determine a winner on Tuesday in a non- league boys basketball game at Pleasant.

The Spartans gained quick control of the overtime, scoring six points in the first two minutes, to come away with a 66-56 victory. The Wildcats (10-11) sent the game into overtime on a pair of free throws by Nickolas Hajjar with 2.1 seconds left in regulation. Less than 10 seconds into the overtime Pleasant’s Colin Jordan drained a threepoint goal. North Union head coach Austin Terrill felt that goal led to what happened the rest of the overtime. “They won the tip and then hit a three,” Terrill said. “That hurt us a little bit.
