NU hoopsters claim two weekend wins, turn attention to regular-season finale and upcoming tournament play

North Union did not score a field goal in the final 4:29 of the fourth quarter on Saturday in its non-league game at London. However, it did not need any shots from the field in defeating the Red Raiders 54-51.

The Wildcats made eight of their 10 free throws during that time and then held off a late rally to get the victory. It was a doubleroad- win weekend for North Union as Friday it defeated Northwestern 54-46.

The two wins bumped the Wildcats to 10-10 on the season and 6-3 in the Mad River Division of the Central Buckeye Conference. North Union and London battled back-andforth for a good part of the game and both of them seized the momentum only to see it fade away. London jumped out to an 8-3 lead in the first two minut…
